As the warm, summer sun shines upon the earth from above, thoughts turn to soaking up the rays on the beach, trips to far off lands, and cruising around the countryside in the car with the windows rolled down. For music lovers, summer is also the season for the best music festivals of the year. These festivals gather together the best and brightest artists of a given genre and provide dream lineups to enthusiasts over an entertaining weekend. For the men in attendance, they will want to wear good clothes to a weekend music festival.

These musical parties will go on, rain or shine. It is therefore advisable to take along a rain poncho or waterproof coverall. Though it may not be fashionable, there are likely to be other wise attendees who bring them along, and one would be hard pressed to notice you singled out amongst a throng of other dry music lovers in case of rain. Footwear is really up to the tastes of the individual man and should really be based on comfort. Shoes are not that noticeable when surrounded by hordes of others, and most people are focused on the bands anyway. Sandals, sneakers, boots, or whatever is most comfortable is the way to go.

Because the weekend music festival is probably taking place during the summer, be sure to dress for warm weather. Shorts are often the best way to keep cool in the midst of a few thousand sweaty bodies and under hot, humid conditions. If the prospect of touching bare legs with another is off-putting, then jeans are of course acceptable, as long as you do not think they will be too hot. Remember men, this is a weekend music festival and not a swank, exclusive restaurant. A T shirt will therefore more than suffice. These articles of clothing are also a great way to show everyone who your favorite band is when their logo is splashed on the front of the shirt. T shirt sales also support the bands and help cover their expenses. Not only do guys get to start a conversation via the logo sported on the front of their shirts, a type of camaraderie is built as well.

The music is the main focus of a weekend music festival, and fashion should take a backseat to comfort. A man’s choice of clothing for the show should be based on relaxation and an appreciation for the bands. Throw on some shorts, a T shirt, and some well-worn shoes, and you will have the correct outfit for the occasion.
